freed.in is the leading community event in the Indian sub-continent and the developing world. The event promotes freedom in technology and personal privacy in software and other related fields. The annual event makes free and open source software more visible to the world, and shares its excitement with everybody. freed.in helps nurture the community and enables networking within and outside the community in a fun environment. The event strives towards seeding of new projects.
ILUG-D has been conducting awareness and proof-of-concept events since 1999. These events have been extremely popular and very well attended and accepted by the community and the public in general. Traditionally, the event is held at a time in September to coincide with one of the many birthdays of Linux! The event attracts not only geeks from across the country but many from schools, colleges and even the small business houses. There is always something for everyone.
